It’s Greg on a jam-packed highway at the entrance to Chalan. People come and go throughout the summer. One famous resort in this community is Peterson’s Waterfront Resort, which is not far from the water slide waters. It’s not that far from San Sellers. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Campbell’s Resort. Those of you are familiar with Lake Chalan, the beautiful Resort that Peterson’s Resort has developed since our family began vacationing 40 years ago.
This sign indicates that it’s a cut above it. It is a beautiful place to vacation and spend a week or so in the sun in the summer. Well, it reminds me of another Peter’s Waterfront. Some of you know I have read A Burning in My Bones. This is the book that Wendy and I took to Switzerland to read together. We often read aloud to one another before we turn out the light. Having watched the news and our TV programs, we tend to retire in bed reading aloud to each other before turning out the lights, and this was the book we read.
This is a biography of Eugene Peterson, the translator of the Bible into the message, the writer of a long obedience in the same direction, and a very gifted Pastor… You can hear more about it in the video above.
