My Rhymes and Reasons by Greg Asimakoupoulos

A Church in the Heart of Seattle on This Edition 1.20

Today’s Edition of My Rhymes and Reasons from a Church in the Heart of Seattle

Hey, it’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons from a church in the heart of Seattle. Just off of Interstate 5 at the intersection of Harrison and Yale is this Orthodox church which is surrounded by high-rise buildings, apartment complexes, multiuse dwellings, corporate businesses, and it’s just tucked away.

I’ve seen this church, at least the Onion Dome steeple, from the freeway for years. Today I decided to make my way here to see the actual front of the church and capture for you what I think is a symbolic representation of our call as the body of Christ to be in the center of life to be in the city for years. First Presbyterian church here in Seattle had on the side of its building a church for the heart of the city. Well, that church no longer exists. The building does. It will be sold for multiple millions of dollars.

If you missed our last My Rhymes and Reasons post, it is here.
