A Life Force Translated Through You| Daily Meditation-January 20, 2022-

Today’s Quotation:

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy that is translated through you; and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique.

Martha Graham

Today’s Meditation:

You bring to the world something very special, something very unique.  You are the only one of you that ever has existed, and the way you use your humanity is unlike any other human being ever has used his or her energy and life force.  Who and what you are is truly unique.  Do you give yourself credit for that fact?  Do you spend any of your time trying to develop your uniqueness or trying to learn new ways to expend your energy that will help other people to live their lives well?

It’s very important that we recognize and respect our uniqueness if we’re going to contribute to the world based on the gifts that we’ve been given.  Many people spend their lives trying to give in the ways that they see others giving, and they’re perplexed or frustrated when they don’t see the same results that others see.  They don’t understand that they need to find their own ways of contributing, ways that are suited to them and their gifts.

Think of it this way:  if I put gasoline in a car, the potential energy in the gas can be turned into motion.  If I put it into a generator, that potential energy can be turned into electricity.  If the generator tried to turn that potential energy into motion, it would become very frustrated, for that’s not what generators are meant to do.

A lot of energy flows through you every day.  How do you direct it?  How do you translate it?  What is the end product that you cause that energy to become?  How we use our energy is one of the most important aspects of who we are and who we become, and it’s completely up to us to learn to use it as well as we can.

Questions to ponder:

1. How do you translate your life force?  How is it shown to the world?

2. Who teaches us to use our life forces effectively?  Do you see other people trying to use theirs well?

3. Do you give yourself credit for your uniqueness?  Do you accept yourself as you are and try to develop your gifts?

For further thought:

Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.
