A Recent God Wink That is Still Kind of Pulsating in My Heart

It’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s My Rhymes and Reasons from Evanston, Illinois, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. I want to tell you about a recent God wink that is still kind of pulsating in my heart. You have those kinds of serendipities, those what some call coincidences, unexpected alignments of circumstances that you can’t fully explain.

I had one this week that I’m still trying to figure out. My phone was on a table in the living room when it started to vibrate and light up. Somebody was facetiming me and I picked up my phone and discovered that it was someone who didn’t realize that they were calling me. I wasn’t even in their contact list.

He thought I was facetiming him and I hadn’t even touched my phone. It turned out to be Bill Richardson, someone with whom I had worked at Mainstay Church Resources 25 years ago and had not had contact with for many years.

Bill said, “Greg, why did you FaceTime me?” I said, “I haven’t even touched my phone.” He said, “Well, I didn’t do anything. I’m in a shoe store getting a pair of shoes. (To hear the rest go to timestamp 1:21)
