Unlike what we celebrate on the fourth Thursday in November, Canadian Thanksgiving is more about a gathering of harvest. It’s harvest home. Not quite the same traditions that we enjoy in November,
To my Canadian relatives, special in its own way. Today, even though I am not Canadian, I gave this sweatshirt to my father-in-law, my wife’s beloved father, a number of years ago. As you know earlier this week, Hugh Steven entered into his heavenly reward. Just a few days after Easter Sunday, my beloved father-in-law took his last breath on earth and took his first breath in heaven.
So on this Canadian Thanksgiving Day, I want to honor my Canadian-born father-in-law, Hugh Everett Steven. Proud of his Canadian ancestry. You can continue to listen at spot 1:22 on the video above, or start from the beginning if you so choose.
