Hey, it’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons. This week from Children’s Hospital in Seattle, we have been spending a lot of time at Children’s, as our little grandson Nico receives exceptional care.
I’ve got to say that I am most impressed with health care professionals, high-tech medicine, and the personalized attention that our little guy and other children who are receiving care from this most special place. What they get here, it’s just amazing.
Well, here at the lobby of the forest wing of the hospital is this Native American totem. Kind of a simplified totem compared to what you are accustomed to seeing. This is more of a childlike totem pole. And I like it because it speaks to the young people who come into this room and look up and see at the top of the pole. Can I zoom in a little bit? This little eaglet is very special.
My wife is part of a Canadian family that is related to a very famous Native American or I should say Native Canadian carver by the name of Bill Reed of the Haida clan.
