This is Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons and I’m out for a walk with my friend and Mentor David McKenna. We’re just enjoying company together. As we do, Dave, I want to just ask what in this season of your life do you find yourself thinking about in terms of what you wish you had said more to more people in your career?
I think that the word of encouragement, and particularly as you perceive those who are struggling as a Ministry that I would probably sharpen if I were to repeat those 47 years together because it was easier to identify what someone may be wasn’t measuring up to, and finding I think the the answer is that I didn’t realize the mentor role that I was playing. In so many instances that have come to me, and therefore I have an unusual opportunity that I now realize that it had potential there. I can fill it up now.
You are still writing books, right?
I’m trying, I mean, my friend Dave McKenna is going to turn 96 candles on a birthday cake. Which could be the cause of global warming.
That could be right, but of course, on June 9th, 75 years of marriage.
