Ephesians 3: 15-1 17 God’s Marvelous Love with Greg

Join Greg today as he talks about God’s Marvelous Love in Ephesians 3: 15-1 17 on his My Rhymes and Reasons.

Hey, it’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons on this beautiful January day. It’s maybe close to 50° here in the Seattle area. With blue skies, you hear traffic in the background as people go about their daily work, shopping, and recreational activities.

Here I am at Lake Sammamish State Park. I will meet my wife in just a few minutes as we grab lunch nearby. For the time being, I wanted to take a walk and came up upon this beautiful scene. As I shared last week, not everything is as it initially appears. To me, it looks beautiful.

Well, let me look a little closer with you, but first, let me tell you that our verse for today is found in Ephesians 3: 15-1 17. Where we find hidden these words: “Let your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love, let your roots sink deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.”

What happens when Our Roots don’t go down deep? Well, here’s an illustration. Can you look closely? This is a tree that, during a recent windstorm bomb cyclone that we had a couple of months ago, came through this area.

As I walk through this portion of Lake Sammamish State Park, I see trees that have fallen, and the reason is because the root structure was not very deep. Can you see what I’m talking about? Here, this tree has fallen. Look at it. That’s the root structure right here. You can listen to the rest in the video above.
