A vision of a city and what it could become.
I’ve come to this park and looked at this vantage point since I was in college half a century ago. And the skyline of the city has definitely changed, radically changed. Some things remain the same, like the Space Needle that was built for the World’s Fair in 1962 and of course Mount Reineer. Well, how many millions of years ago did that volcanic eruption take place that resulted in this 14,000 plus foot mountain? A a beautiful sight to behold.
This time of the year, it’s often cloudy and Seattleites will ask, “Is the mountain out?”
In other words, can you see the mountain?
The mountain is always there. And I like to call attention to that reality on days when it’s foggy or cloudy.
