From the Campus of Seattle Pacific University with Greg

It’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons from the campus of Seattle Pacific University, a place that’s special to my wife and me because we graduated from this wonderful school 51 years ago.

For the last year and a half or so, I have been working as a volunteer in the alumni office. They call me their alumni ambassador. And what that means is I get to make friends and connect former students and simply help our current president, Dr. Dena Porterfield, share her vision for this Christian liberal arts university, the best Christian arts university on the west coast. And I’m here at what used to be the campus bank.

When I was a student here 50 some years ago, they opened the bookstore and the bank complex. Currently the bank portion of the complex is empty. They’re making notice of the fact that something new is coming. I like new. Don’t you? In fact, our neighbors, our Jewish neighbors, recently celebrated Jewish New Year, 5,786. To listen to more go to 1:33 on the video.

If you missed our last My Rhymes and Reasons post, it is here.
