God’s Grace-Thursday’s My Rhymes and Reasons 7.25.24
Today’s topic is about God’s grace. I hope you enjoy it. It’s a Thursday, and it’s Greg here with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons. I’m in front of a place called Grace Place here on Mercer Island. It’s a place for low-income housing appropriately named because Grace comes to the rescue when we can’t do it alone. Isn’t that a great name for a place that provides what you can’t do with your means? It’s also got me thinking about songs I’ve learned through my Christian Journey dealing with Grace.
Of course, there’s John Newton’s classic, timeless hymn, “Amazing Grace,” but what about others? What songs have you sung that celebrate God’s Amazing Grace in your life? Back in the days of high school, we had inspirations. One Sunday night a month, it would go from church to church in our community.
One of the most popular choruses we sang back in the day was the wonderful “Grace of Jesus Greater Than All My Sin.” do you remember that one? You probably do if you grew up in one of those Evangelical congregations like I did. But there are other gospel hymns, “Grace, God’s Grace”, “Grace that is Greater Than All My Sin”?. How about “This He Giveth More Grace When The Burdens Grow…”? You can hear more on the video above…
