Greetings from Glacier Bay. It’s a Wednesday, and My Rhymes and Reasons greet you from Glacier Bay in Southeastern Alaska. As I contemplate the beauty of this amazing place, you know a verse that comes to mind from the Psalms: “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Years ago, there was an artist from St. Louis named Mary Englebright, and she had a greeting card that I’ve always remembered. The slogan on it says, wherever you are there, you are thinking about that wherever you are, that’s where you are. Accept it, celebrate it, and deal with it because this is the day the Lord has made it, and because He’s made it, we’re not alone.
The Lord is with us to experience the challenges the day brings. As I focus on This Magnificent Grandeur surrounding Glacier Bay, I’m reminded of where Wendy and I were just five months ago in Switzerland, and we were AED by what we saw the beauty of the Alps. There’s beauty there, there’s beauty here, wherever you are if you’re patient enough to look for it.
