Here in Lutheran Switzerland and Bucket List Item on Wendy’s Want To-Do List
This is Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons from Lutheran Switzerland. Yes it’s true, Wendy and I have returned a year later. We’re about to take a river cruise, a bucket list item on Wendy’s want to-do list. We finally can make it happen but before we knew that we decided to return to where we spent 3 months last year serving the international church in Lucerne. This is at the Bonhof, the ancient gate which remains from the old station.
I’m just going to walk through a portion of town today, it’s where the world comes together. You can see that at the end of this month the World Cup is taking place in terms of rowing. It’s the regattas that puts in place teams that will be competing I hope that you enjoy this little walking tour over the next 5 minutes or so take you down to Lake Lutheran. We’ll see a part of the town that people as I said from all over the world come to see.
It is the most touristed city in all of Switzerland and for good reason it is picturesque. It is idyllic, it’s at the base of Mount Pilates. Here is Lake Lutheran looking towards the medieval old city and we’ll take a closer look at that here is the boat that is beginning to depart for a cruise on the lake and there in the distance is the Riggy.
