On This the Monday Before the Super Bowl
Hey, it’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons on this the Monday before the Super Bowl. We are counting down the days here in Seattle as our team is about to go to their fourth Super Bowl in team history. This is their 50th year as a team. And I think that’s pretty cool. Four times in 50 years. Of course, it doesn’t even come close to what the Patriots have achieved with six Super Bowl championship rings, but we’re going to do our best.
The enthusiasm here in our city is growing because team loyalty is huge here in Seattle. Of course, you’ve heard me mention on multiple occasions that the fans of the Seahawks are known as the twelves or the 12th man. 11 players on the field, but they have the 12th in the stands with unbelievable volume and excitement and the thrill of seeing Seahawk paraphernalia all around greater Seattle such as flags, people wearing jerseys, caps with logos. It’s really something.
Well, today, as we begin this week of anticipation of the Super Bowl game come next Sunday, I want to talk about what it means to be a 12.
