It’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons today from the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley just maybe 45 minutes east of Seattle. this beautiful setting, farmland, where you feel like you’re in another world, not that far from the city.
These guys are wondering what I’m doing. I didn’t give them any advanced warning that I would be coming to their stable to record today’s devotional, but I’m here to reference the contrast between how God desires us to live our lives and how we often resist and need to be brought under control as if by a bit and bridal.
You know, there’s that reference to a bit and bridal in Psalm 32. One of my favorite scriptures from when my kids were little. It was a memory verse they had at church. Psalm 32:8. ‘I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way that you should go. I will guide you with my eye upon you.’
Yeah, that’s right. Psalm 32:8. I will instruct you and teach you in the way that you should go. I will guide you with my eye upon you.
That’s God’s desire to be governing our lives as He looks at us. Hopefully it’s goes both ways with our eyes directed in His direction. You can hear more at right about the 1:55 section of the video.
