Standing by a flag in remembering Dave Walter, who was Greg’s friend. Greg has been the Pastor/Chaplain of Covenant Living Church for the past 10 years.
The flag has been raised in memory of Dr. David Walter, who delivered 10,000 babies in his career. His story is remarkable. He was a prisoner of war in World War II, in which he parachuted out of a plane. kept safe by a French family, then Nazis found him and incarcerated him for a long time. This flag stands here as a memory of him.

Dr. Dave would swam every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day for 20 minutes each day. He died at age 96 and swam every day until
the last day of his life, he actually suffered a cardiac arrest while swimming the day he passed.
