Joyce and Barry Vissell October 12, 2025

Welcome to our living room. Here, Barry, you want to hold these up? Yeah.

These are beautiful autumn colors for autumn. They’re just so pretty. I’m always so happy when I can go out in the garden and and pick something.

Yeah.

So, so beautiful.

Okay. You want to put them down?

All right. So, I know that you’re very patient with my flowers.

I love the roses.

Okay. Thank you.

Today we’re going and I know we’ve focused on this before, but maybe not in this particular way on really deep appreciation and not taking the people that we love for granted.

So I have two stories actually.

One is about a young man that we had that we had met. He was telling us this story that he, you know, unfortunately he spent a lot of time at this bar and he spent more time at the bar than his home actually. I guess it was a nice bar and he’d go there and this the sporting events would be playing really loud and he he’d drink with the guys. You can continue at spot 1:27 in the video above.

“This is an amazing book by two amazing humans. I was brought to tears many times. I don’t want you to miss a word of this outstanding book.”—Susan Campbell, PhD, author of Getting Real
