The Chapel and The Reflection Room

Greg Asimakoupoulos is here at Children’s Hospital in Seattle. I’m in the chapel and the reflection room. Most hospitals these days have an area like this set aside for contemplation, meditation, and prayer. Obviously in a publicly funded facility like this is you’ll have more than simply Christian representation.

There is various world religion symbols in this room but the cross is at the center here at Seattle Children’s. As you can see, I’m sitting in this room. I’m only here by myself for these moments to capture what a room like this means for people who are in need of acknowledging their need, in need of the assurance of God’s help.

Music is part of that. I see the piano here. I see chairs set up in a semi-circular arrangement.

If you missed our last My Rhymes and Reasons post, it is here.
