The Greatest of These is Love
Hey, it’s Greg Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons talking about the greatest of these is love from 1911 Second Street here in Marysville, Washington, about 40 minutes north of Seattle. This was my childhood home from the time I was five until turning 12 when we moved across the mountains to Wanache.
Yet this place still holds very special memories to my brother and to me.
Several numbers come to mind today as I share this little devotional thought. 26,27,51,58,75.
In 1926, my dad was born in Arrow, Idaho on the Clearwater River, adjacent to the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in Lapwai.
In 1927, my mom was born in Breton, Washington on Pleasant Avenue. How about that for a location to be born on Pleasant Avenue? Then 1951 is when mymom and dad married. After about nine dates, they met some 6 months before they were married and fell in love head over heels. And I got to be honest, their 58 years of marriage were a model marriage to me.
