Tuesday is election day in the United States. Welcome to today’s message with Joyce and Barry.
Welcome to our home, and we’re expecting our first rain. That’s how it is here in California. It doesn’t rain for about six months, then it begins, and it goes on and on. So we’re expecting the first rain.
I had to go and pick the last remaining roses because of the rain. It won’t bother the roses if it’s a soft rain, but if it’s a significant rain, they’ll go. They go away for the year. So this is it: they’re pretty, all right. It is cute how you always show flowers. Yeah, I love beautiful flowers.
As you know, Tuesday is election day for United States citizens. In two days, for those of you who don’t live in the United States, I’m sure you’ll also be aware of it. We spoke to our friends in Norway, and they said it’s on their news daily. It’s a huge deal.
So I don’t want to tell you how to vote. That’s not what this is about, but you know when the results come in, some people are going to be so happy, and some people are going to be depressed.
What we need to do is, and Barry’s been because I’ve been reading up on it more than him, but he’s been (Joyce speaking to Barry: you’ve been telling me) that I have to trust. Yes, and so there’s a verse in the Bible in Proverbs, so this is the Old Testament, probably written 6,000 years ago. I was told by a woman who’s really into Judaism that this is a sacred part of their Torah and the Christian religion. Still, it’s also part of life, regardless of religion, so here are the words, and I’ll say them a few times: trust in God with all your heart…You can listen to the rest in the video above.
