Watch an Artist at Work with Greg Today

Drag out some Asimakoupoulos with today’s edition of My Rhymes and Reasons. Well, it’s not every day you get to watch an artist at work. That’s what I’m doing here in the little town of Cle Elum, Washington. While in route to Lake Chalan for a weekend away, Wendy and I stopped to get a maple bar at the famous Cle Elum Bakery. That’s our little tradition. When we’re on our way to Wenatchee or to Lake Chalen, we stop at the bakery to get a maple bar.

Just as I was getting out of the car and heading into the bakery for our signature order, my goodness, those maple bars are to die for. I saw this guy with his chainsaw making art. As you can see, he’s making a bear out of a large stump of wood.

Amazing.

He’s doing something that many of us would never imagine doing in our wildest imagination.

But as I watch him at work, it brings to mind a spiritual insight. Of course, there would be a spiritual insight for this to be featured on my rhymes and reason.

If you missed our last My Rhymes and Reasons post, it is here.
